There have been a few problems with the Proven15 recently which Proven are addressing and ironing out. They are still on sale providing the customer understands there may be updates for their turbine, which will obviously mean a small amount of down-time.

Electrical Layout The electrical layout consists three 6kW inverters totaling 18kW of capacity. This alows production to exceed 15kW in higher winds. The control panel has a Voltmeter and ammeter to show wind turbine output & a rotary isolator to isolate the turbine output (lockable in the 'off' position). We install a Kilo Watt Hour (kWh) meter which records the total production from the turbine. This kWh meter can be used for ROC (Renewable Obligation Certificate) or FIT (feed In Tariff) payment. The electrical system fits onto an eight foot by four foot woodern board. |

Mechanical Mechanism The 15kW uses a damper system to acurately control the blade pitch and rotational speed control. This spring and damper mechanism prevents gusts and uneven winds from causing an unbalancing of the blades. The Proven 3.2 & Proven 6 do not require a damper system as their rotational speed is higher and their blades are much shorter. |
