Proven 6 Wind Turbine Installation

grid connected Proven 6 on 9 meter tower.

Although this page is filed under 'Case Studies', it's not a true case study as the pictures are from different installations. It's more to illustrate the steps necessary to install a Proven6 wind turbine. If you'd like to see an installation please have a look at our customers blog - http://haunnblackhouse.blogspot.com/

With a steady increase in electricity prices over the past few years customers want to future proof their energy costs in a way that would be environmentally friendly.

Site Visit

A site visit is necessary to determine where the turbine should be sited. We come out to site and walk over the land with the customer to talk over the pros and cons of various sites until we find the best place for the turbine siting. The site may be chosen based on cable distance, wind obstacles, turbine noise, blade flicker (if any), access by tractor, and other factors.

During the site visit we generally talk through the system with the customer explaining what's required on the day and who needs to do what.

Quote + additional information

A quote can be written and emailed/posted a few days later along with some information on planning permission, available grants, grid connection application form (for grid-connect types).

We generally confirm your wind regime and estimated output yield.

Installing Foundations

Foundations are installed according to the Proven instructions.

The Big Day

The turbine arrives in kit form ready for assembly and installation.

Commissioning

After commissioning the installation we provide all the relevant paperwork in the commissioning folder

Hot commissioning, ROCs/FITs, Export deals. The relevant information is then sent off to the grant authority to claim
